(55) Sen. Jeff Flake condemns President Trump's attacks on media -- FULL SPEECH (C-SPAN) - YouTube
The Honorable Senator from Arizona, Jeff Flake, would have you believe that the mainstream media is the hallowed free press that he holds up as the esteemed guardians of the truth.
I differ with him. I perceive the mainstream media as a leftist propaganda machine.
This machine colluded with Hillary Clinton.
This same propaganda machine, or rather, one of its kings, the New York Times, had honored Stalin's Apolegist, Walter Duranty, Moscow Bureau Chief during the early 1930s, with Pulitzer Prize in 1932. Contrary to this NYT darling's news denials of the Ukrainian Holodomer, this reporter gave the NYT one of its dark spots.
In 1957, another NYT reporter, the late Herbert Matthews, served as the late Fidel Castro's press agent. His reports depicted the revolutionary Fidel Castro as a hero. The result was and remains one of the world's worst human rights abusers and terrorism's hosts.
The media, the mainstream one has disserved seekers of the truth in those mentioned instances cited above. I could very likely serve up many, many more examples to prove that the mainstream media that Mr. Flake would have you perceive as that free press, is very unworthy of being equated as examples of what is and should be, the free press.

ICE Is Going After People Who Were Once Off-Limits: Could this be game-changing?'
It's time to set terminology on the table and check it out with the microscope and call things as they really and truly are.
Let's start with the term illegal immigrant.
If you showed inside the national territory of the United States without papers, if you snuck in illegally, if you didn't jump the hoops that all LEGAL immigrants and refugees, such as my now late parents, willingly jumped through to show up and stay here legally, then you ARE NO immigrant. Instead, you're an illegal alien.
If you came legally like the millions of legal immigrants who came to the United States toward the turning of the 19th to 20th Century, and you had your papers in order, and you were allowed in because you followed the rules, then you qualify to be regarded legally as an immigrant.
If you've been here a long time but you were whole time here illegally, then all that time you were here was illegal time. You didn't do the legal stuff you're required to do, to stay. Then you're not entitled to be here. And whatever merits you suppose you earned, then all that effort was for nothing.
In the end, on balance, Immigration is a personal responsibility issue.
